Dunkin’s Wicked Green Matcha was officially launched on November 5, 2025, as part of the Wicked: For Good lineup. This launch marked the collaboration between Dunkin’ and Universal Studios, serving to celebrate the release of Universal Studios’s highly-anticipated movie, Wicked: For Good. The lineup also featured Dunkin’s new Wicked Pink Refresher and Wicked MUNCHKINS. All these products were available for a limited time only, running from November 5 to December, 2025.
The Wicked Green Matcha was inspired by Wicked: For Good protagonist Elphaba, played by three-time Academy Award nominee Cynthia Erivo. The iced matcha latte consisted of matcha, brown sugar syrup, toasted almond, and customizable milk. The matcha’s striking green color reflected that of Elphaba. The drink was described by Dunkin’ as an “emerald elixir fit for Elphaba herself.”
Upon release, I was anxious to try the Wicked Green Matcha and experience for myself the “emerald elixir.” I got the drink at a local Dunkin’ in late November and was crushingly disappointed with the results.
The drink’s creamy, green disposition intrigued me; I was interested in Dunkin’s mixture of milk and matcha. However, I found that the milk heavily overshadowed the matcha, resulting in a chalky, overly milky aftertaste.
The matcha quality itself was underwhelming. Dunkin’ used a pre-sweetened matcha blend that lacked flavor and had a thin consistency.
I found the drink overly sweet for my preferences. The brown sugar syrup added unnecessary sweetness to an already sugarized beverage, completely masking the bitterness of the matcha.
The Wicked Green Matcha succeeded in hyping up the release of Wicked: For Good and celebrating a collaboration between Dunkin’ and Universal Studios. However, the drink’s consistency and sweetness did not live up to the hype. If you are interested in trying out Dunkin’s Wicked: For Good lineup, my recommendation is to stick to the Wicked Pink Refresher and Wicked MUNCHKINS.
These products will be available for a limited time only at Dunkin’, so check them out at your earliest convenience. If you are interested in watching Wicked: For Good, it is out now in theaters.
