The Hershey High School varsity football team won 48-0 against their rivals, Palmyra High School, on Friday, September 5th at 7 p.m.
The Trojans executed on offense for 339 yards and seven touchdowns. Senior quarterback Cameron Sweeney led the way with two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing. Sweeney has nine touchdowns on the year.
Five other seniors scored touchdowns for the Trojans: Grant Later, S. Edwards-Pace, Bryan Maduena, Daniel Oseghale, and Reggie Onwe.
This was the Trojans’ third game and was also their third straight at home. They won the opener, the Cocoa Bean Game, 42-26 over Milton Hershey. Last week, they fell to Shippensburg High School 22-19. Last Friday, dominating Palmyra, leaving them with a record of 2-1.
Now Palmyra has a current record of 1-2, winning 30-0 against Lebanon, losing 35-7 against Mechanicsburg, and losing 48-0 against Hershey.
HHS next plays away against Mifflin County on Friday, September 12th. They return home to play crosstown rivals Lower Dauphin the following Friday, September 19th.
