The HHS Boys Basketball team defeated the Palmyra Cougars on January 9th in the high school gym 54-49.
The Trojans Head Coach Paul Blackburn, said, “Junior Grant Later had a great fourth quarter with a three-point shot and free throw with 11 seconds left to secure the win.”
Junior Cameron Sweeney led the Trojans with a 20-point high game, and senior James Campbell IV scored 15 points, and Aidan Miller chipped in with 11 game points.
Despite the scoring output from his stars, Blackburn pointed out their strong defensive effort. “I think our team defense was impressive, especially in the fourth quarter to come up with big rebounds and key steals,” said Blackburn.
The game was a physical battle, but something Blackburn expected. “I knew coming in the game would be highly contested and physical,” Blackburn said, “We found ways to be successful in a physical game to secure the win.”
