HHS girls volleyball lose to Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils

Hershey girls volleyball lost to Greencastle-Antrim 3-1 on Monday, October 15th, 2018.

After losing game three, Hershey and Greencastle were locked in a tight game four. Tied at 11, halfway through, Greencastle pulled ahead 12-11. Nearing their victory, Greencastle went on a nine point rally to extend their lead to 20-11. Hershey would never recover.

Despite the loss, Hershey kept each game close. After Greencastle took game one 25-19, Hershey built up a 13-7 lead to start game two. Greencastle took a 24-23 lead when senior Erin Gillespie couldn’t handle one of their serves. But Hershey fought back to win the game 28-26.

With the series tied at one game a piece, Antrim found another gear, winning the last two games 25-16.

The Trojans’ next game is against first-place Palmyra on October 17th, where they will try to improve their 3-11 record.
