As the weather changes, so does the fashion trending in every store, magazine, and runway. This fall is bringing tons of new takes on classic autumn styles and trends.

Denim

Denim is a classic for any season and it allows for a seamless transition from hotter weather to fall.

“Jeans are about as classically fall as you can get, and now is the time to shop for the latest styles,” said Sarah Boyd, contributor to Forbes Style & Design.

Denim jackets, skirts, and pants are a great way to stay both warm and stylish. Recently in the fashion industry there’s been tons of new takes on this classic look: distressed, boyfriend fit, embroidered, and patched are all just a few unique variations that can make this trend perfect for anyone’s style.

Colors

With all the colors and temperatures changing outside, it’s almost inevitable that fall brings some great shades to fashion. Olive green, mustard yellow, red, and burnt orange are just a few key colors for this season. Autumn is a perfect time to experiment with deeper and darker takes on the colors from summer. The team at Pantone Color Institute put together the 2017 fall color report featuring some of the most classic fall colors mixed with striking standout shades.

Sneakers

No matter what your style is, there’s most likely a sneaker to match.

Sneakers are everywhere this fall. Fashion insiders and celebs alike are sporting athletic shoes with their chicest outfits, making them an essential fall fashion trend,” said Christina Draper, fashion contributor to Glamour magazine.

Outerwear

The colder weather brings the need for warmer clothes, but unfortunately it’s too early to bring out the winter jackets. When the weather outside is cooler than inside, having stylish outerwear that can easily be layered is important.

While there are plenty of wardrobe updates your closet needs for fall—from boots to denim and more—topping it all off with the perfect jacket is key,” said Lauren Fisher, Harper’s Bazaar associate digital editor.

Military jackets, cardigans, flannels, and bomber jackets are a perfect way to feel warm and look chic.
