New teacher for Spanish and English as a Second Language, Ms. Caitlin Parker, loves kids and lives for student breakthroughs. The most fun she’s ever had was when she traveled through Europe during her week off of school in Spain. Parker was raised vegetarian, and she doesn’t like it when people suggest she’d like meat if she tried it. She describes herself as calm and likes going to the gym. Parker once broke both ankles just by walking down the street, and can make a four leaf clover with her tongue. Mrs. Susan Barto is a long term substitute teacher for Mrs. Gustafson, who returns from maternity leave in January. She is teaching Geometry and Statistics while she’s here. Barto first started off as an engineer, but realized she needed more daily interaction, which is why she loves being a teacher. Barto has two cats; Archibald and Oreo, and owns three African Dwarf frogs. Doing anything outdoors from gardening to parasailing keeps her happy. Barto’s biggest pet peeve is when people are late, but in general she describes herself as a kind person and can’t wait to have a good time here at HHS. (Broadcaster/Azelin Thompson)
