60 Second Profile: HHS English Language Development teacher Mr. Boggess

Ella Yurick, Editor in Chief January 23, 2023

Along with his regular English classes, Hershey High School teacher Mr. Boggess teaches English Language Development (ELD) to students who are learning the language. He describes how this class differs...

Mrs. Susan Barto is a long term substitute teacher for Mrs. Gustafson, who returns from maternity leave in January. She is teaching Geometry and Statistics while she’s here. Barto first started off as an engineer, but realized she needed more daily interaction, which is why she loves being a teacher. Barto has two cats; Archibald and Oreo, and owns three African Dwarf frogs. Doing anything outdoors from gardening to parasailing keeps her happy. Barto’s biggest pet peeve is when people are late, but in general she describes herself as a kind person and can’t wait to have a good time here at HHS. (Broadcaster/Azelin Thompson)
