Seniors Shreya Thakur, Jacob Nantz, and Daniel Ioffreda will be the 2016 Hershey High School Commencement speakers.

As the Senior Class President, Ioffreda is Senior’s Choice speaker.  Thakur is the Academic Honoree speaker while Nantz earned the Faculty’s Choice speaker slot.

Earning the Faculty’s Choice speaker position was not an easy path for Nantz.  First, he had to be nominated by a member of the faculty.  Next, the nominees submitted a copy of their proposed speech.

The top five manuscripts were selected by the faculty to go on to the next round.

These five students then presented their speeches to a faculty committee.  This committee selected the best three as finalists.

The finalists were then voted on by the faculty via an online ballot.

Dr. Dale Reimann, HHS Building principal, announced the final two spots in an email Friday morning.
