On Friday, April 24, Trojan Buddies hosted its 5th annual community day. The event included a variety of activities, including their traditional race and bounce houses, as well as the addition of food trucks this year.
High school buddies ate lunch and spent the afternoon with their buddies, building community through all of the opportunities offered. Students had access to bounce houses and various yard games, as well as food trucks. Service dogs were also in attendance, a favorite amongst the buddies.
In preparation for this event, Trojan Buddies leadership worked hard to make everything run smoothly. Ms. Rosensteel, who organized the event, said the event looked a bit different this year due to stadium construction. This year, she says, “it is more carnival style with the addition of some food trucks”.
In addition, Friday was also Take Your Kid to Work Day, which Rosensteel said made Community Day “a true community event as teachers will have their own kids there to enjoy the fun as well!”
