Hershey High School hosted its annual “Bring Your Child to Work Day,” welcoming teachers’ and administrators’ children into classrooms and offices for a day of fun activities and observation on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The event, designed to give children a glimpse into the daily routines of educators and staff, offered students the opportunity to shadow their parents throughout the school day. In addition to classroom participation, many teachers brought their children on a scavenger hunt that allowed children to explore different parts of the school while solving riddles along the way.
Younger visitors also enjoyed treats throughout the day, with candy distributed in several classrooms. The ability for children to roam from class to class alongside their parents created an energetic atmosphere that many students said lifted the mood across the building.
Senior Ally Reigert said, “It’s always fun when the little kids come into our classes… It makes my day.”
Teachers and staff balanced their professional responsibilities with mentoring their young guests, creating an environment that was both educational and family-oriented. Despite the added complexity, many described the day as rewarding.
Jessica Intrieri, a faculty member at the school, said the event remains a highlight each year. “This is my favorite day of the year, my kids look forward to it as well,” Intrieri said.
School administrators emphasized that the program helps strengthen connections between staff and their families while also introducing children to the value of education and community involvement.
The annual tradition continues to be a popular event at Hershey High School, with strong participation as families take part in a unique day inside the classroom.
