5 fun activities to do this summer in Hershey

With summer approaching, entertainment activities are becoming more active. Here are some ways to spend your free time that don’t involve traveling far!

HersheyPark

1. Since installing its very first ride on July 4th, 1908, HersheyPark has been recognized as a well loved family amusement park. The park is a good way to spend time with friends and family outside, while also getting the thrill of rides that you won’t find anywhere else. Hersheypark has 76 rides that range from merry-go-rounds to the most thrilling of rollercoasters. The park also includes a full water park for when the days get too hot.

2. Do you need new clothes for a vacation? Do you need a new outfit for the upcoming concert? Or maybe just a little retail therapy? The Tanger Outlets have been a reliable source of popular stores since its grand opening in 1993. Locals and tourists alike love to enjoy the outside inside way of shopping. They provide a variety of stores for people of all ages. They have recently added a new Nike store that has been quite popular. They also have a few places to get refreshments in order to stay satisfied all throughout the shopping experience.

3.The Hershey Country club founded in 1930 had been a way for locals to spend their summers in the warm sun surrounded by the lovely greenery of Hershey. The Country Club provides multiple activities for their members to enjoy. The most popular would be the beautiful golf course. People spend hours on the course that winds in and out of the streets of downtown Hershey. The club also includes other activities like the lovely outdoor pool that people of all ages can enjoy. Along with their activities they also provide good food to top it all off.

4.Throughout the summer the Hershey Stadium holds numerous concerts for the enjoyment of locals and tourists. This summer Zac Brown Band, Morgan Wallen, Jason Aldean, and even Big Time Rush. Even though a lot of the people that go to these are teenagers, these events are for people of all ages. They are a good way to spend a night outside in the fresh air surrounded by your friends and family. People enjoy tailgating before just hanging out and eating before enjoying a fun night under the stars.

5. Since its revamping, downtown Hershey has been booming. These restaurants and stores were a new addition to the town a few years ago. They have been a fun way for tourists and locals to get out and grab a bite to eat. The recently added Fresh Market, located in the building behind the original strip, has many vendors with an assortment of food and craft items to purchase.
