Hershey Hockey Ties West Shore

The Hershey High School (HHS) Trojans Ice Hockey team tied West Shore 4-4 on Monday, December 13, 2017 in an intense back-and-forth game.

In the first period, West Shore’s Connor Winiski scored the game’s first goal, giving his team an early lead.

Hershey’s Brady Bowman battled back by scoring the Trojan’s first goal 12 minutes into the first period; it was assisted by Paul Gettle and Ian McDonald.

With the game tied 1-1 near the end of the first period, West Shore’s Frankie Williamson scored early in the second. West Shore’s Christian Holtzapple scored as well in the second period. West Shore pulled ahead by 2 goals.

West Shore had a 3-1 lead by the third period, but the Trojans came back fighting, with goals from Sabatino Iannarello, Brady Bowman, and Caden Freer.

Hershey’s three quick goals put the Trojans ahead 4-3, and the game appeared to be in their favor.

At the end of the third period, West Shore’s Jesse Troutman scored the tying goal, causing the game to have a final score of 4-4.

The Trojan’s next game is at 7 pm on Friday, December 15, 2017 against the Palmyra Cougars at Klick Lewis Arena.
