The Hershey Girls Soccer team lost to Mechanicsburg 3-1 on Saturday, September 9, 2017.

The game started off with a goal by Mechanicsburg within the first 14 minutes of the game. Six minutes later, Hershey senior Lauren Epler answered with an unassisted goal of her own.

Mechanicsburg reclaimed their lead with a little more than 13 minutes remaining in the first half. Hershey goalie, Alexis Moodie, came out of her goal in an attempt to stop the play, but the Mechanicsburg player dodged around Moodie and scored on an open net.

The second half was slow for both teams until Mechanicsburg scored with nine minutes left to play.

The game ended with Mechanicsburg defeating the Hershey Trojans 3-1. Coach Repsch, Hershey Girls Soccer head coach, wasn’t disappointed in the level of effort from his players. “I think we played okay today. We went into a new formation, so it’s never a question of effort,” said Repsch.

Next up on their schedule is a home game against CD East on Thursday, September 14, 2017.
