Hershey Baseball Crushes Susquehanna Township

The Hershey High School Trojans defeated the Susquehanna Township Indians in both games of the double header hosted by the Trojans on May 2, 2017 at Memorial Field.

The Trojans mercy ruled the Indians 11-1 after the fifth inning of the first game. The Trojans scored three runs during each of the first three innings allowing them to have a 9-0 lead going into the fourth inning.

The fourth inning started off with the Trojans scoring one run. The fifth inning went underway with both the Trojans and the Indians scoring one run.

The second game started off slow with neither team scoring in the first inning. The Trojans racked up some runs scoring one in the second inning, two in the third, and three in the fourth allowing them to grab a 6-0 lead over the Indians.

In the fifth inning, both teams scored one run. The rest of the game, neither team scored, leaving the Trojans with a 7-1 victory.

“I think we played well, we knew going into the game that we were the better team. We have to keep our focus during games like these and play to the best of our ability,” said senior Owen Deflitch.

The Trojans take on CD East May 3, at CD East High School.
