From the moment the puck dropped, Hershey dominated the game. After taking a 10 goal lead, Cedar Crest was mercy ruled and automatically lost the game. The game lasted only 48 minutes and ended with a Hershey 14-4 victory.

The Friday night game was dedicated to Hershey High School junior Sabatino Iannarello’s father Charlie Iannarello, who recently passed away. Mr. Iannarello played in the Ontario Hockey league, and had a big impact on Iannarello’s hockey career. The Hershey student section made shirts with Iannarello’s number on them and wore them throughout the duration of the game.

Sammy Steele, HHS Junior, took charge of the game, scoring five goals and three assists. Following closely behind with three goals each was HHS senior Zane Elliott and Iannarello. HHS sophomore Caden Freer scored two goals. HHS senior Joseph Mishler scored a goal as well.

Cedar Cliff’s four goals were scored by William Earp, Nolan Hoover each with one goal, and Ian Hibshman with two himself.
