Hershey Ice Hockey Wins Season Opener

The Hershey ice hockey team defeated Central Dauphin 10-4 on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 during their season opener at Klick Lewis Arena.

Sammy Steele, junior, opened the Trojans’ season, scoring the first goal of the game with an assist by junior Sabatino Iannarello at 11:33 in the first period.

The second period was a battle for the puck as CD scored two goals, and Hershey scored four.

The Trojans finished strong scoring a total of six goals in the third period, with CD only scoring two.

The other goals were scored by sophomore Adam Paymer and freshmen Ian McDonald and Karsyn Kehler.

Hershey’s goaltender, Aaron Dobrolsky, faced 17 shots and saved 13 of them. CD’s goaltender, Dustin Waleff, faced 30 shots and saved 20.

“We have some things to work on, but overall I would say it was a solid first performance,” said Dobrolsky.
