The Trojans opened the scoring early in the game when junior Sammy Steele netted a goal 42 seconds after puck drop. Steele scored again shortly after his first goal almost three minutes into the game. Senior Zane Elliott scored on a power play with almost five minutes left in the period. The Cougars got a point on the scoreboard when Brenden Daley scored eight minutes after the puck drop.

The second period was quite uneventful for both Hershey and Palmyra. Neither team scored.

Palmyra was the first to score in the third period when Austen Zimmerman scored off a power play. However, the 3-2 lead didn’t last very long. Steele scored his third goal of the game, to give Hershey the 4-2 lead with 30 seconds left in the game.

Hershey hockey plays again on Wednesday November 9, 2016 at Klick Lewis Arena against Cedar Crest at 7pm.
