Hershey Girls Volleyball defeats Milton Hershey

The Hershey Girls Volleyball team defeated Milton Hershey in three sets on Thursday, October 20, 2016.

Hershey senior Ali Gmerek had ten aces and ten kills that led the Trojans to a 25-13 victory in the first set. Lizzy Zeiber and Jaiden Yocca, both juniors and outside hitters, scored points for Hershey in the second set, resulting in a win. Freshman Annie Shay, set to both Gmerek and Zeiber for points that contributed to the Trojan’s win in the third and final set.

The Trojans finished their regular season with eight wins and seven losses. Lauryn Washington, a junior volleyball player, said she was happy with the season overall.

Washington explained, “We had our ups and downs, but we stuck together and pushed through the losses.”

The Trojans will continue playing in districts.
