On October 18, 2016, the Hershey High School Girls Volleyball team,coached by John Zitko and Robert Baker,

took on Waynesboro High School. With a final score of 3-1 out of four matches, Hershey Girls Volleyball (HGVB) won the game.

Gmerek scored the first point for HGVB with a spike. Serving, Ashley Centeno scored the next point. Hershey continued to score and won the first match 25-20.

Round two came to a close with a score of 25-12, Hershey. Match three was won by Waynesboro 23-25.

Finally, the game ended with Lauryn Washington on a block. The Hershey High School Girls Volleyball team won match four with a score of 25-23.

Emily Harris, captain of HGVB said, “Waynesboro is always a great opponent for us and they played very hard, but I think we played our hearts out and wanted it a little bit more than they did.”
