Hershey Girls Soccer beat Lewisburg 2-0 on Saturday, October 15, 2016.

The first half was quiet for both teams. The Trojans had more opportunities to score than Lewisburg, but couldn’t find the net.

Fourteen minutes into the second half, Hershey junior Lauren Epler scored the first goal. She received the ball from sophomore Katie Cocco, and put it in the back of the goal.

Almost 15 minutes later Hershey put another goal on the board. Cocco scored with assist from Epler.

With three minutes to go in the game, a yellow card was issued to Hershey sophomore Kaitlyn Schlemmer. Lewisburg was unable to capitalize while they were a man up.

The game finished at 2-0 adding another win to Hershey’s 10-6-1 record now making it 11-6-1 to end their regular season.

Hershey does not know who their next game will be against, but Coach Rosensteel, Hershey Girls Soccer head coach, does know that his team will be ready.

“We will be making some noise in the playoffs,” said Rosensteel.
