Shania toured first to support her third album, Come on Over, with her “Come on Out Tour.” She toured through North America, Europe, and Australia; this was one of the most anticipated tours of the 1990s. Her tour became the highest-grossing tour by a female country artist to date.
By 1998, Twain was a well-established country music sensation, selling over ten million albums, with her latest album selling over five million in the United States. Shania won her first Grammy in 1996. She has won Best Country Album and almost every major global music award. She was also listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest-selling studio album by a female solo artist.
Now, in 2025, she has sold over 100 million records. Her success garnered several titles, including the “Queen of Country Pop.” Billboard named her as the leader of the 1990s country-pop crossover stars. She was also inducted into the Canadian Musical Hall of Fame.
