Hershey Trojans Boys Soccer defeats Manheim Central Barons in District Quarter Finals

The Hershey Trojans defeated the Barons of Manheim Central with a score of 3-2 on Thursday, October 28th, 2021 at Hershey High School. 

Hershey’s first goal was scored early by senior captain Ben Zimmer. Manheim answered quickly by scoring to bring the game to 1-1. 

With 15 minutes left in the first half senior Drew Coleman scored and Hershey regained the lead. 

The Trojans had the majority of possession for the remainder of the first. At halftime the score remained  2-1.

The Trojans continued to dominate in possession in the second half and earned multiple corner kicks. Despite the Trojans possession the Barons caused chaos in Hershey’s box and scored, tying the game at 2-2.

With 7 minutes left in the game the Trojans took back the lead with a goal from Ben ZImmer, his second of the match. 

“It was a tough game but we pulled through,” said Zimmer, “…we are ready for the semi finals on Monday.” 

The final score was 3-2 confirming the Trojan’s spot in the district semi-final game. The​​ Trojans next game is Monday, November 1st, against Fleetwood High School at home.
