Athletics Return at HHS

Julia Grenoble and Ava Sheppard

As of Monday, January 4, 2021, the state-wide restrictions that prevented the winter sports season were lifted by Governor Tom Wolfe.

These restrictions were put into place due to the spike in Covid cases in Pennsylvania, and they were lifted due to the plateau in cases in recent weeks. HHS winter sports teams are already back at practices and games, with Girls Basketball, Boys basketball, and more.

High school sports teams were required to hold at least four practices before they resume competitions or games, which is why the Boys Basketball team was able to participate in their game on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

As Covid cases continue to plateau, and with more Pennsylvania residents receiving the vaccine, hopefully HHS will be able to continue with their winter sports seasons.
