Fun Fall Activities In Hershey During Covid-19

Caroline Glus, Reporter

The fall in Hershey always has so many different activities for local families. Here are some fun activities to attend during the fall that are safe and follow Covid-19 restrictions.

HersheyPark in the Dark begins October 18th, 2020. This is an opportunity to ride all 13 available rides, trick-or-treat, or checkout Creatures of the Night at ZooAmerica while trying some festive fall treats.

Local farms such as Strites Orchard are offering apple and pumpkin picking throughout the month of October. In addition, Strites offers a corn maze during their fall season for families of all ages. The outdoor setting is ideal during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Hershey Story Museum also offers fun fall activities including Halloween-Themed Chocolate Lab Classes. These classes include making ‘Chocolate Cobweb Creations’ and ‘Build a Batty Bar.’ These special classes will be held on Saturday and Sundays in October.

The Pumpkin Glow at Hershey Gardens is a popular attraction during October 18th,19th, 25th, and 26th from 6pm to 8:30pm. The Hershey Gardens lights up their walkway with over 200 carved and illuminated pumpkins. This event is non-scary and highly family friendly. Kids are encouraged to bring a flashlight and dress in costume. Tickets can be purchased in advance or upon arrival.

Staying at home is difficult during this time. Luckily there are still many fun activities to attend this fall in Hershey that can still be enjoyed in the pandemic.
