Hershey Ice Hockey Obliterates Lower Dauphin

The Hershey Ice Hockey team defeated Lower Dauphin with a score of 5-1 in a rivalry match on Friday, November 15, 2019.

Starting off, Hershey and Lower Dauphin secured their goals at all costs with strong defense. Neither teams scored in the first period. 

The second period was intensified when Lower Dauphin made the first goal of the night. However, the 1-0 lead didn’t last long. HHS sophomore, Jake Kloss, scored a goal for Hershey only seconds after LD.

Racking up goals in the third period, Hershey made a huge comeback with four more points. The other goals were scored by Kloss (2), and HHS seniors, Cole Buchanan (2) and Karsyn Kehler.

Hershey outplayed Lower Dauphin with a final score of 5-1.

The Trojans have a record of 5-0, and are currently placed first in the league. Lower Dauphin is now ranked in third place, with a record of  3-2, closely following Palmyra Area High School (second rank).

Hershey’s next game will take place at Twin Ponds against Susquehanna on Monday, November 18, 2019.
