Cocoaplex Closing Its Doors at End Of Year

Keela Delves, Reporter

Hershey’s only movie theater, Cocoaplex, has announced that it will be closing its doors by December 31, 2019.

Cocoaplex announced the news including a thank you to patrons on their website. After more than 20 years of service, Cocoaplex will no longer be in business by the end of the year. Cocoaplex has encouraged its loyal customers to instead visit their sister location “MoviE-Town,” located in Elizabethtown, PA.

Cocoaplex has stated the space will be converted into a Penn State Medical building to expand their many services. Endocrinology and Nephrology will be moving into the Cocoaplex space with additional space for pediatrics also.

The projected timeline for this project is 12-14 months and should hopefully open by the end of 2020.
