In this definitive war film, Spielberg expertly combines large scale battles and an intensely personal story. Tom Hanks gives one of the best performances of his career. “Saving Private Ryan” is the highest the war genre has ever flown.
- “ Raging Bull” directed by Martin Scorsese
One could argue that boxing movies belong in their own genre. Most stories follow an underdog who has to rise above his opponent. However, “Raging Bull” sets itself apart with its exceptional performances. “Raging Bull’s” actors take a simple set up and turn it into a masterpiece.
- “Fargo” directed by the Coen brothers
With intelligent dialogue, great acting, and loads of dark humor, “Fargo” is a truly unique film. What could have been a bland crime film instead bursts with personality and style. “Fargo” is a cult classic that everyone can enjoy.

Oscar bait or not, “Schindler’s List” is the most emotionally raw film ever made. Each scene is masterfully executed and haunting. More terrifying than any horror story ever told, “Schindler’s List” will keep your eyes glued to the screen and also keep you awake for nights to come.

Loud, violent, and irreverent, “Pulp Fiction” is one of the most enjoyable films of all time. Jam packed with pulp culture references and its very own iconic moments, Tarantino’s second film is a master work in director style and vision. A wild ride from start to finish “Pulp Fiction” is a truly unforgettable film.
