The Hershey girls swim team won first place at the District III meet held at Cumberland Valley High School, on March 4th and 5th of 2016.
Additionally both the girls and boys teams placed several swimmers on the podium.
The girls 400 meter freestyle relay team of Sally Tafuto, Caylene Rippon, Kaley Buchanan, and Bailey Robertson secured the gold medal.
Kaley Buchanan earned a bronze in the 100 butterfly and silver in the 100 freestyle.
The 200 meter freestyle relay team of Kaley Buchanan, Baliey Robertson, Colette Robinson, and Olivia Duck earned a sliver.
In the 200 freestyle swim, sophomore Sally Tafuto earned a second place with a time of 1:52.94.
In the 200 IM (individual medley), senior Jack Kushner was awarded the bronze medal with a time of 1:55.49.
The 200 freestyle medley team of Chris Paynter, Jason Young, Luttrell, and Kushner received the 4th place medal.
Sophomore Cole Luttrell and freshman Zach Hagan swam in the 200 freestyle. Luttrell placed 7th overall with a time of 1:45.38.
The girls started their portion of the competition with a bang earning 3rd place win in the 200 medley relay powered by Tomomi Nakano, Oriana Barone, Caylene Rippon, and Olivia Duck.
In the 200 freestyle swim, Hershey snatched three medals. Sally Tafuto got 2nd with a time of 1:52.94. Bailey Robertson placed 4th, and Myla Cramer got 6th.

Cole Luttrell- 7th in the 200 freestyle
Jack Kushner- 3rd in the 200 IM and 4th in the 100 breaststroke
Chris Paynter- 6th in the 50 freestyle and 9th in the 100 freestyle
Jason Young- 7th in the 100 breaststroke
