Hershey High School’s STRESS Club had its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, February 19th, in the cafeteria, focusing on wellness and nutrition.
Led by sophomore Sia Jhaveri, the club aims to help students manage stress through healthy habits. To highlight the importance of nutrition for one’s well-being, the club invited nutritionist Greg Hummel to speak about the school’s new plant-based cafeteria options.
Hummel not only shared insights on the benefits of a balanced diet but also brought in samples for members to try. Hummel explained to the students that good nutrition is a key part of reducing stress and maintaining focus.
“The goal of STRESS Club is to help students find ways to improve their mental and physical well-being,” Jhaveri said. “Food plays a huge role in that.”
The club’s next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19th, where members will continue to learn how to lead healthier lives.
