Hershey’s 76th Annual Halloween Parade set for October 24

The Township of Derry Department of Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with the Friends of Derry Township Parks and Recreation and the Hershey Federal Credit Union, sponsors the 76th annual Hershey Halloween Parade.

This event will take place on the streets of Hershey at 7:00 pm Thursday, October 24th.

Hershey friends would like to give a big thanks to the Hershey Company for supplying the candy that will be tossed to the spectators along the parade route by people on floats or walking alongside.

Judging of the floats will start promptly at 6:15 before the parade begins. Prizes (1st – 6th division) will be awarded in each division.

Registration forms to be able to be a part of the parade and the awards ceremony may be found online, picked up at Derry Township Community Center 605 Cocoa Avenue Hershey, or reached by calling (717)-533-7138.

Our Goal

Your donation will support the student journalists of Hershey High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase a new mirrorless digital camera and telephoto lens.

The camera we are working toward is the Sony a7 II Mirrorless Camera. It retails for about $1000 at B&H Photo and Video and comes with a kit lens, a 28-70mm. The lens is a big telephoto suitable for event and sports coverage, Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG DN OS Sports Lens (Sony E). This lens retails for about $1500 at B&H Photo and Video.
