Hershey girls basketball fell to East Penn Tuesday 56-62.
To begin, East Penn successfully gained a 3 pointer to start the first quarter with Hershey to follow, 3-3. After many foul shots for both teams plus an amazing shot by McKinley Ebert at 6:13, the score became 7-7. With Hershey in the lead, Lauren Richard got a 3 pointer with an ending score of 19-16 for the 1st period.
Hershey started off strong leading the 2nd quarter 38-33. Following that East Penn struggled to catch up after Ebert’s 5th 3 pointer in the game, 42-40 in the 3rd period. While in the 4th period, East Penn kept the lead after many foul shots on their behalf.
With 4:01 left in the 4th period, Hershey’s Lauren Richards gained the last 3 pointer making the score 50-54. Quickly after that, East Penn earned foul shots while Hershey was struggling to catch up, allowing for a score 56-62 in the end.
During the challenging game, Hershey led the whole game but struggled to keep up at the end of the 4th period with a final score 56-62 in East Penn.
