Hershey Trojans Basketball triumphed against Redland Patriots

The Hershey Trojans basketball team secured a 62-60 victory against Redland on Friday, January 5th, 2024.

With 2:08 left in the third quarter, Sophomore Cam Sweeney scored a three-pointer, making the score 47-44 in the Trojans favor.

Senior Eamon Callahan exhibited a remarkable defensive play at 5:03 left in the fourth. With 47 seconds left, the Redland Patriots scored against the Trojans, taking the lead. Then, Hershey got an offensive penalty, scoring two fouls and making the score 60-59, Trojans.

With only seven seconds left, Senior Derek Guzman was able to score the game-winning basket for the Trojans off of an offensive play.

The game itself was intense, and Hershey fought a tough game, but in the end, they conquered.

Their current record is 7-1.

The Trojans will face Palmyra on Friday, January 12th at 7pm in their next home game.
