Singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift, hit it big in 2006 when her single “Tim McGraw”, off her debut album, scored as her first Top 40. Ever since, she has floated on top of the charts setting records and amassing a fan base of hundreds of millions, known as “Swifties”.

Following the release of the complete album, Swift took home three Grammy’s at the 2016 award show. There she became the first woman to win Album of the Year twice (she later won a third time for her 2020 album, folklore).

Her fifth number 1 album, reputation, was released following her disappearance after a (now proven to be fabricated) phone call with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian was leaked. reputation sold 1.2 million copies within its first week, proving that no one can take down Taylor Swift. Her Reputation Stadium Tour broke U.S. records when it became the highest-grossing tour in U.S. history, said Hits Radio. 

In 2019, Taylor Swift won the prestigious American Music Award, Artist of the Decade, six times. Swift made history at the AMAs becoming the highest-awarded person in the show’s history, with 28 wins, beating a record set by Michael Jackson, said Us Weekly:

Following the release of the surprise sister albums, folklore and evermore, Swift held the title for the most cumulative weeks spent at number one for a female artist on the Billboard 200, said Hits Radio.

At the 2021 BRIT Awards, Swift became the first ever woman to take home the Global Icon Award. In 2022, Swift not only gave the commencement speech for New York University but she was also awarded an honorary doctorate degree in fine arts.

Taylor Swift has gone to feats no other artist has. She has managed to stay on top of the charts throughout the entirety of her career since 2006, breaking her own records on top of others. Swift has served as an inspiration to both upcoming and current artists with her passion and will. Among reinventing herself in the music industry, record-breaking sales and tours, outstanding awards, and more, Swift has done what no other artist has.
