HHS student launches Representation of Asian Students Club
One of the newest additions to the list of clubs at Hershey High School is the Representation of Asian Students club.
The main goal of this club is to showcase different cultures that do not get enough recognition and to engage students in celebrating ethnic holidays. The club plans on having both informational meetings and meetings where members can celebrate events and participate in activities.
Collins, a teacher at Hershey High School, is the advisor of this club. “I am excited and grateful to be a part of this amazing club,” said Collins.
Sophomore Tulsi Patel is the founder and president of the Representation of Asian Students club. “I hope to achieve a more diverse school community and to be able to show Asian cultures through the creation of this club,” said Patel. Patel said she is determined to bring attention to underrepresented Asian communities.
The Representation of Asian Students club plans to meet every other Tuesday before and after school, but days may vary. Patel said Remind is the best way to stay up to date on announcements and upcoming events using the code ras22-23.
