Boys and Girls Cross Country clean up against Palmyra and Cedar Cliff

The Hershey Boys Cross Country team notched two victories against Palmyra and Cedar Cliff on Palmyra’s home course on Tuesday September 20.  The boys won 15-47 versus Cedar Cliff and 18-43 against Palmyra.

The team was led to victory by sophomore Vinay Raman in 17:53 and senior Joey Alander at 18 flat over the 3.1 mile course.  Also scoring for the varsity squad were seniors Nick Kelly and Eddie Liszka with freshman Joseph Murphy as the fifth man.  

The Hershey Girls Cross Country team also notched a pair of easy victories against Palmyra and Cedar Cliff.  Cedar Cliff was unable to field a full team and therefore forfeited

Senior Brooke Preputnick won by more than a minute and a half with a 20 flat.  Freshman Sophia Kim, seniors Ally Wilson and Rachel Lyn-Sue and junior Yanwei Liu powered the team to a strong 18-41 victory.

The teams next compete at the Carlisle Invitational on Saturday.
