The Hershey Boys Tennis team defeated Central Dauphin 3-2 at home on Monday, April 11th.

Victory came from the first singles and both doubles teams, all while the students were playing in different positions and pairings because some players were on a school trip.

Hershey sophomore Markus Wingert won the first singles match on a forfeit after his opponent suffered an injury. Despite both winning their first set, the two other singles players were defeated after a comeback from Central Dauphin.

Hershey’s first doubles team of senior Charlie Horner and junior Monty Hanford were pushed to a tiebreak in their first set.  They won their first set 7-6 on a 7-3 tiebreak and then cruised to a 6-2 second set to secure the victory.
