This past weekend, HHS hosted Cumberland Valley, North Penn and William Allen High Schools in the annual Tip Off Tournament. This tournament was also the Boys Basketball season home opener. William Allen High School went undefeated over the weekend and won the whole varsity tournament.

As for HHS Boys Basketball, the team went 1-1, with a 52-59 loss on Friday night against North Penn, and a 54-47 win against Cumberland Valley on Saturday night.

The starting line up for the Trojans has junior Marcus Sweeney at point guard, senior Garrett Burys at center, senior captain Zach Miller at forward, senior captains Drew Colman and Jack Argento at guard.

The Trojans fell tough to North Penn on Friday in the tight, high scoring match. However, after a shoot around practice early Saturday morning to clear their heads from the loss, they were ready to secure their first win of the season against Cumberland Valley that night. The Trojans were very pleased to have taken the win against CV since they had lost to them in preseason camp.

Senior Jack Argento led the team in points both nights, with 11 on Friday and 16 on Saturday. “I thought it was a good opening weekend for us,” said Argento, “We played 2 tough teams that will really help prepare ourselves for the rest of the year. Definitely was nice to get a win on Saturday against CV. Proud of our guys, we came together as a team and pushed until the end. We are looking forward to 3 more tough ones this week.”

The Trojans next game is away at Milton Hershey on Tuesday, December 13 at 7 pm.
