Taylor Swift responds to sexist ‘Ginny & Georgia’ joke

Ten-time Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift tweeted Monday in regard to a joke in the Netflix original series “Ginny & Georgia.”
In the show, one character says to another: “You go through men faster than Taylor Swift.” Swift wrote, “Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard-working women by defining this horse s**t as FuNnY.”

In reference to her 2020 documentary, “Miss Americana”, Swift said, “Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesn’t look cute on you 💔Happy Women’s History Month I guess.” The film features the singer talking about the pressure that is put on her as a female celebrity and the sexism that follows.
Several celebrities including long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn and British actress Jameela Jamil have come out in support of Swift.
