HHS Boys Basketball Beats Palmyra in Close Game

On Monday, February 22, 2021, Hershey Boys Basketball beat Palmyra in a close game with the final score being 47-50.

The game started off slow for Hershey, with Palmyra having a constant lead in the first quarter. The Cougar’s offense was steady and consistent, with the Trojans struggling to keep the ball. 

The first Quarter ended with a score of 17-8, Palmyra in the lead. Hershey had a slow start, but then began to pick it up in the second quarter. 

Toward the end of the Second Quarter, Hershey came back strong and almost caught up to Palmyra with the help of HHS Senior, Jackson Mascari. The first half ended at 32-26, with Palmyra in the lead, but Hershey not far behind. 

In the third quarter, the Trojans picked it up and HHS Junior Zach Miller tied up the game with a three-pointer, making the score 34-34. Hershey’s defense was incredibly strong in the third quarter, with the fans on the edge of their seats. 

The Trojans and Cougars were neck-in-neck for the rest of the third quarter, ending the quarter with a tied score of 41-41. 

Hershey pulled through in the fourth quarter and finally took the lead, as HHS Junior Jack Argento scored to make the score 43-41, Hershey.

With only two minutes left in the game and the score tied at 43-43, Hershey did not let down, and Palmyra could not keep up. The Trojans ended the game with a final score of 50-47, and had everyone in the stands, on the edge of their seat.
