HHS Seniors Participate in Fall Signing Day

Clare Canavan, Katie Jones, and Ashlyn Weidman

Hershey High School seniors signed their National Letter of Intent (NLI) on Wednesday, November 13th.

Thus far, 11 seniors have decided to continue their athletic career onto colleges across a wide variety of universities and divisions. This is the first of two signing days for high school athletes.

The NLI legally binds the student athlete to the college they will be attending next fall, and now the student must take more extensive measures than before to decommit. Many of these athletes have been verbally committed for some time, but not until November 13th was it made official.

The next signing day for high school athletes will take place in the spring of 2020. This will be when the remainder of high school athletes announce where they will continue their athletic and academic careers.

The following list contains the student athlete, the university he or she will be attending, and the sport he or she will be continuing onto college.

  2. Alex Held: Slippery Rock, Field Hockey
  3. Lizzy Jones: Towson, Swimming
