The Hershey Trojans boys soccer team tied with the Northern York Polar Bears 1-1 at home on Monday, October 12th.

Both teams showed outstanding defense in the first half with no goals.

The Polar Bears were first on the board with a shot that slipped right past Hershey goalkeeper Justin Rogers in the 49th minute of the game.

Quickly after, Hershey turned up the intensity. After multiple plays there was a call in Northern York’s box resulting in a yellow card and a penalty kick for Hershey. The kick was taken by senior and captain, Jake Fisher, he tied it up 1-1 with 24 minutes left in the second half.

The rest of the game was a constant back and forth. The game ended in a tie after two 10 minute overtime periods.

The boys next game is October 15th, at home against Waynesboro.
