Songs like Closer and Colors got Ashley Frangipane on the map. Now, Frangipane comes back with a fresh new album.

Frangipane, formally known as Halsey, released her first song from her new album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. Hopeless Fountain Kingdom will fully be released in June 2017. Halsey is a 22 year old with two albums out and another one on its way.  Her music career first began when she was 19 years of age after she posted a video of her singing her self-written song, “Ghost” on YouTube.  After posting the video, she was discovered by a music company called Astralwerks Record Label (ARL). Prior to getting signed by ARL at only 14 years old, she was always a musical person; she played violin, viola, and cello.

Halsey has released two albums so far, titled Room93 and Badlands. Room93 was her first album, which came out in October 27, 2014, with five songs on the album. On August 28, 2015, Halsey then released the album Badlands with a total of 16 songs. Badlands was ranked number two on the Billboard Top 200.  Not only has Halsey accomplished being on the top five on Billboard for one of her albums, but her music videos also range from 24-87 million views on youtube.

As Halsey increases in popularity, she is getting more musical opportunities.  She was asked by the Chainsmokers to be a feature in their new song, “Closer”. The song was released July 29, 2016. The song was such a success that it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, which was Halsey’s first number one rank. The lyric video is at 1.3 billion views on YouTube, and the actual music video is at 188 million views.  She has also gotten the chance to feature in a song with Justin Bieber entitled “The Feeling”. That music video is roughly at 54 million views.  

Although Halsey has many accomplishments such as getting her songs on the radio, coming out with five music videos, and going on a worldwide tour, it’s  finally time for her to go back to the recording studio and record her next album called Hopeless Fountain Kingdom.

It was just on April 5th, 2017 when Halsey released a music video as a preview to what the new album will be like.  The music video for “Now or Never” has gotten 4 million views, 242,071 likes, and 7,974 dislikes in one day.  The video has overwhelming positivity toward Halsey and this new song.  

The song “Now or Never” will be part of the album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. Until the album is out, you will be able to pre-order merchandise for Hopeless Fountain Kingdom(HFK), Badlands, and Room 93, but keep in mind that the album HFK is not out quite yet, but orders for HFK will be shipped out June 2nd.
