The Hershey High School Ice Hockey team lost 3-0 to Palmyra in the Tier 1 championship game, also known as the Bears Cup, on Saturday March 5th, 2016 at the Hersheypark Arena.
The first period went scoreless, with stellar play by both goaltenders, Hershey’s Aaron Dobrolsky and Palmyra’s Liam Schmidt
However, Palmyra got aggressive offensively in the second period resulting in 3 goals.
Hershey saw many opportunities throughout the game, but, the play of Palmyra’s goaltender, Liam Schmidt and some controversial calls were enough to secure the win for Palmyra.
Trojan goalie Aaron Dobrolsky faced 38 shots, saving an impressive 35. Palmyra’s Liam Schmidt saved all 24 shots on goal.
Hershey finished the regular season 16-6, and despite the loss, are preparing for their game on Monday, March 7 against West Chester.
