Immersive Career Opportunity with Live at Rock Lititz

Hershey’s Career Center is holding an immersive experience for students interested in the backstage industry on April 30th, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

“Last year, the trip was a great success,” said Ms. Machtinger, from the Career Center. Machtinger previously chaperoned the trip and finds it an excellent opportunity for students looking to follow a theatrical career path. This trip has been held annually for three years now.

Interested students will attend “Experience Live at Rock Lititz,” a unique field trip covering concert tours, sporting events, theatrical shows, and more. This date covers general information on show business and educates students on the skills they need in theatrics.

The applications opened on January 30th for juniors and seniors only. A short essay must be used in the application, and only a few students are chosen by the organization.

Experience Live holds two conferences a year for students. The next date is set for November 7, 2025.

Your donation will support the student journalists of Hershey High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase a new mirrorless digital camera and telephoto lens.

The camera we are working toward is the Sony a7 II Mirrorless Camera. It retails for about $1000 at B&H Photo and Video and comes with a kit lens, a 28-70mm. The lens is a big telephoto suitable for event and sports coverage, Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG DN OS Sports Lens (Sony E). This lens retails for about $1500 at B&H Photo and Video.
