Sexism impacts every woman and man in the United States.
Hillary Clinton, a woman, is still in the running to be the next president of the United States.
The United States has proven to be “ready” for a female president. According to the Huffington Post, 66% of men and 67% of women believe our country is ready for a female president.
Although our country believes we are ready for women in politics, that doesn’t mean she is the best presidential candidate.
The biggest issue with Clinton is America’s reason for electing her. In Gallup’s poll on Hillary Clinton, voters share that the “most positive thing about a Hillary Clinton presidency” is that she would be the first female president.
America views electing a female to office as a progressive step forward. We don’t need a female in office to prove that our country is ready.
There are bigger issues in our country than making ourselves look progressive in the public eye. We should be focusing on the equality of women and men for our nation as a whole, rather than electing one subpar woman to run our country.
Electing Clinton would be the opposite of gender equality. Electing her based on gender would suggest that women and men do not need equal qualifications to be in office.
Clinton’s fraudulent behavior has been exposed throughout her political career. She is constantly trying to relate to people half her age through current social media tactics. Clinton has been in the political arena since the 1970s. She knows how to manipulate voters.
One presence of her manipulation is in her constant flipping on stances. Among these issues is abortion. In the past she claimed to be against abortion, but now she has shifted her viewpoint in order to appeal to the young voters.
According to a CNN/ORC poll, 57% of Americans consider Clinton untrustworthy. She has been involved in multiple scandals throughout her lengthy political career. As stated before, Clinton is manipulative and has been able to work the media to favor her.
At the end of the day, we all know emails don’t delete themselves.
