The Broadcaster is covering the HHS Holiday Volleyball Tournament live. We will update the winners and share photos and videos from the festivities. The updates are in “reverse” order with the newest items at the top.

Our Goal

Your donation will support the student journalists of Hershey High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase a new mirrorless digital camera and telephoto lens.

The camera we are working toward is the Sony a7 II Mirrorless Camera. It retails for about $1000 at B&H Photo and Video and comes with a kit lens, a 28-70mm. The lens is a big telephoto suitable for event and sports coverage, Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG DN OS Sports Lens (Sony E). This lens retails for about $1500 at B&H Photo and Video.

Robert Sterner, Advisor

Robert Sterner is The Broadcaster's seventeenth advisor. He has been teaching at Hershey High School for 21 years and has been an assistant coach for the HHS Cross Country team for the past 15 years. Sterner enjoys photography, science fiction, and Earl Grey tea.

Isabella Dimopoulos, Managing Editor

Isabella Dimopoulos is a senior at Hershey high school, and she is the managing editor on The Broadcaster. This is her fourth year taking journalism. Outside of school, Isabella enjoys working, hanging out with friends, and watching sports.

Leah Wilhelm, Hershey Editor

Leah Wilhelm is a senior at Hershey High School and the Editor In Chief for the Broadcaster. She is also the Editor In Chief of Pennsylvania’s YMCA Youth and Government program. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her friends.

Gwen Cysyk, Reporter

Gwen Cysyk is the News Editor for the Broadcaster. She is a junior at Hershey High School, and this is her second year writing for the Broadcaster. In her free time, Gwen enjoys listening to music, reading philosophy, and spending time with her guinea pigs.

Kialey Wetherbee, Reporter

Kialey is a second year on the broadcaster and is the Club Liason. In her free time she is doing sports photography, dancing and hanging out with friends.
