American businessman and television personality, Donald Trump, shocked the world when he announced his bid for presidency on June 16th, 2015.
Because Trump doesn’t have the strongest background in politics, many voters aren’t taking him as a serious candidate. However even without a background is politics, Trump is a legitimate candidate and is expected to give the top GOP nominees a run for their money.
Many Americans want to see a malleable, soft spoken politician in office. However, Trump is an intense candidate that doesn’t have a filter and is not afraid to say what is on his mind. Trump breaks the outline of the typical presidential candidate, which he is the change America needs. He is no pushover when it comes to his company, Trump Organizations, and will certainly not be one in the White House.
Trump is also not reliant on donors, and is funding his whole campaign himself. This is crucial because large donors won’t be able buy Trump and sway him one way or another.
In Hillary Clinton’s attempt to take down Trump, one of her strategies was to cast him as sexist. Yet, this is completely untrue as many of the people running his campaign and company are women, showing he trusts women in essential positions and treats them as equals.
Trump is also a man of robust morals. The Trump organization employs more than 22,000 people, and he has a very good track record of treating his employees well. He’s also never been involved in any high profile scandals such as Hillary Clinton. His children frequently express what a good father he has been and are all successful and wealthy themselves.
Presidents have the privilege of being surrounded by some of the brightest people in the world sitting on their cabinet. However, when it comes to one-on-one meetings there are no advisors that can help them. Presidents are left to negotiate deals on their own, which has proven to be a tough challenge for some. Trumps’ negotiating skills have been refined over the past 45 years as the CEO of the Trump empire, and will carry over to the oval office.
Trump also is very critical of the media. The media tends to flood television and radio with counterproductive nonsense, and Trump isn’t afraid to put even the top journalists in their place, regardless of what news outlet they are from. This is one of the many reasons he is doing so well in the polls. He resonates well with the normal American, who are fed up with some of the same things.
Some voters tend to stay clear of Trump because they think he is racist, particularly because he plans to build a massive wall on US and Mexico border when he takes office. Yet, the idea is not crazy as the first recorded wall around a nation was 120 years after the birth of Christ. The wall will protect American families and cut border patrol costs. Trump also won the majority of hispanic votes in his Nevada caucus win.
Trump has created jobs and wealth and is qualified to take the oval office. For those reasons, Trump will make America great again.
