The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was held outside of Central Park on November 28th, 2024. It celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday and even foreshadowed the Christmas season.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual event that starts early on Thanksgiving morning. This year, it aired live on NBC, Peacock, and Fubo.
This year, the parade featured performances from four Broadway shows: “The Outsiders,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Death Becomes Her,” and “Redwood.”
According to NBC, the parade featured 22 big balloons, including ” fan favorites ” like ”Snoopy,” “Kung Fu Panda,” and “Sinclair’s Dino.”
Reporters Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker hosted the parade on NBC. All hosts are news anchors for “TODAY” on NBC.
The first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade began in 1924 and is the second oldest Thanksgiving Day parade in the the United States.
Next year’s parade will be held on November 27th, 2025, from 8:30 AM to noon EST.
