Hersheypark has made a change in the price of Sweet Light admission tickets, but was it a reasonable decision?
When you go to the Hersheypark website, you may be pretty shocked to figure out how much the Sweet Lights admission ticket prices have inflated. For the quality of performance that Hersheypark and Sweet Lights present each year, it doesn’t seem that the prices for these tickets should be as high as they are right now. A lot of people won’t find it worth it as well as fewer people would be inclined to visit the attraction knowing that the price is so high.
Hershey’s Sweet Lights first opened in 2003. This 2 miles of wooded trail with nearly 600 illuminated and animated displays is really fun and fascinating for your kids to be able to look at as you drive through. Compared to all else that you can do with Hersheypark, this experience doesn’t even come close to being worth the $29.99.
This neat drive through the woods is open November 10th through January 1st of 2024. As you are able to drive around and enjoy the lights you can also enjoy listening to fun Christmas music when you turn on your car radio to the music channel that is provided to you as you enter.
You might also realize that depending on the type of car you are willing to drive through Sweet Lights, the price could vary. For example, if you plan to enter a 16-passenger bus, then the price of $50 would seem more worth it rather than a small car with at least 3 to 4 people costing $29.99. Other vehicle prices may vary.
It is also already a lot to pay for a vacation to Hershey in general, but then adding on that extra money for sweet lights is just too much. To some parents it might even seem like a rip off.
For much more information you can check out Pennlive.com As for the reasons stated in this article, it seems as if Hersheypark should consider lowering these ticket prices because not only would it be more affordable, but it would also allow visitors to enjoy the view of pretty lights for much less.
