Hershey Cross Country Dominates Mechanicsburg on Senior Night

Hershey Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country teams celebrated their Senior Night with wins against Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School at Shank Park on Tuesday, September 10th.

Hershey boys were led by senior Vinay Raman (17:54) who finished in first place, helping Hershey pull off a score of 18-41. Fellow senior, Jacob Abraham (17:55) finished in second followed by sophomore Max Hulays (18:19) in third, and freshman Gus Grandi (18:49) rounding out the meet with Hershey taking all of the top four places.

The Hershey girls also defeated Mechanicsburg with a final score of 22-33. Junior Sophia Kim led the entire race, finishing in first place with a time of 20:19 over a minute ahead of the field. Juniors Evy Winder (21:41) and Maddie Endlich (21:46) finished third and fourth with sophomore Lauren Nutt (21:54) rounding out the top 5. Senior Riley Burnett was able to secure a top ten spot finishing 9th with a time of 22:24.

The boys’ and the girls’ cross country teams defeated Palmyra during their first meet last week, on Tuesday, September 4.

Hershey will attempt to continue their season next week at Red Land Senior High School on September 17.
